Warren Buffet founded and continues as the Chairman, CEO and largest shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway.

Berkshire Hathaway is an enormous American conglomerate that owns shares in hundreds of companies. Berkshire Hathaway is massive, fourth on the Fortune 500, 14th in the Global 500 in 2015. Ten of the companies it owns are so big that if they were stand alone they would be members of the Fortune 500 - the biggest listed companies in the US.

Berkshire Hathaway INCREASED its net worth by over $15 billion in 2015, that's BILLIONS of US dollars and just the amount net worth increased by!. Bershire Hathaway is very, very big and getting bigger.

They own share in all sorts of businesses, in brands you will recognise like Coca Cola and Wells Fargo Bank and some you may not like Clayton Homes, the largest modular housing business in the US.

Buffet is certainly one of the most succesful investors alive today and one of the richest people in the world. He has been consistently successful over the last 50 years at growing the business. He doesn't make investments for short term gain, he doesn't trade shares. He buys what he considers good companies and holds onto them. He has been nicknamed "The Sage of Omaha", (because the company's head office is in Omaha, Nebraska.)

Anyone Can Read Warren Buffett's Annual Letters to Shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway

Each year Buffet releases a letter to shareholders to coincide with Berkshire Hathway's annual results. They are publicly available for all to read. They are written in easy to undertand language and are often quite entertaining. Its not your standard glossy magazine style it's very much "old school". Whether you agree with Buffet's philosophies or not the letters are a fascinating read if you are at all interested in growing your wealth by investing wisely. If you invest in shares you really should read his letters.

In 1981 ony twelve people attended the shareholders meeting. In 2015 over 35,000 people attended - in person! They have been called the "The Woodstock of Capitalism". The executives answered questions from the floor for five hours.
